ClinicOffice
has always had arguably the best User Interface among all it's peers in the clincal software market. We wanted to improve it even further
however, so we licensed Microsoft's Ribbonbar technology (found in all the
latest Microsoft products) and incorporated it into the design of the
new version.

ClinicOffice v4 also has the most Customisable User Interface ever
seen in a Clinic Management package. You can literally change
the layout of every editor screen.
Want the DOB (Date of Birth) field to be more prominent on the
Patient Editor?
Simply
click Design Mode on the patient editor and drag the DOB up to
the top next to the patient's name.
Don't want to use the
'middlename' field for a patient?
Just right click the field and select
Hide.
Want to add a tick-box field to say whether the patient
is a Smoker?
Click Add New Field, select Tick
Box then type in 'Smoker' for the fieldname.
It really is that easy!
We've also worked hard to streamline a lot of the core tasks and common features to make using the program even easier and faster.
The Patient Contact Centre is another new innovation. It allows
you to create rules for contacting patients. You can use it to
automatically send out text messages for appointment reminders, or to
generate followup letters after an appointment, or to create reminder
letters for patients who haven't been to your clinic for 6 months or
more.
The Today's Clinic screen gives you an overview of the clinic
activity for today. With a couple of clicks, you can see who is
currently in your waiting room, which staff members are busy or which
invoices have been created today and by whom.

The Report Functionality has been greatly enhanced and we now have the
ability to create Charts (including Bar Charts,
Pie Charts, Line Graphs etc. etc.) which help to analyze your clinic.

And lastly, another area that has changed is the Database Engine for the
Server Edition. With CO2005, we found that as the product has matured and some of our clients
had 100,000s of records in their database, the performance started to
suffer.
In the COv4 Server Edition we have improved database performance significantly by switching to a more 'heavy duty' database
engine called PostgreSQL (www.postgresql.org).
The results so far have been excellent and the Server Edition can now
handle millions of records with ease.
